Guided tour of the Cathedral and the medieval old town of Vitoria-Gasteiz
Monday 3rd October, from 16:30 to 18:00.
At 16:30 we will depart to visit to the Cathedral and medieval old town of Vitoria-Gasteiz, the total duration will be around two hours.
The guide tour will start visiting the Cathedral. Later on, we will visit the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca, from which we access the Gothic center, visiting along the way the structure of the original royal villa, its streets and the Renaissance palaces that emerged in the 16th century, the remains of the old original wall of the s. XII and the remains of the second walls of the s. XIII and the Cathedral of Santa María. All buildings are visited from the outside.
Lunch and visit to Baigorri Winery
Wednesday 5th October, from 13:00 to 19:00.
A visit to the Winery Bodegas Baigorri will take place after wednesday morning session.
A private bus will pick up us at 13:00 h. from the University of the Basque Country, where the workshop takes place, and will take us to the Baigorri Winery (journey approx 40 min). We will enjoy a lunch at 14:00 h. with a 6-course tasting menu accompanied by 4 of classic wines from the area. At 16:00 h there will be a guided tour of the six underground floors of the winery. Finally at 18:00 h the bus will take us back to the University of the Basque Country.
Workshop dinner
Thursday 6th October, from 20:00 to 22:00. EL PORTALON Restaurant.
El Portalon Restaurant is a charming medieval-style restaurant in the center of the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, 10 minutes walk from the University of the Basque Country where the Workshop takes place, we have booked a menu with starters, main dish to choose fish or meat, dessert and drink included for all workshop members.
